Canopy Tree House

Perched eight metres above the forest floor, the Tree House Cottages fulfil a childhood dream — to live among the branches. Supported by a carefully engineered structure that works around living trees rather than through them, these elevated retreats offer a genuinely aerial perspective of the Bandhavgarh landscape.

Access is via a sturdy spiral staircase or, for the adventurous, a rope ladder. Once up, you enter a snug but beautifully appointed nest — one king bed, picture windows on all sides, a small reading alcove, and a suspended deck where morning tea comes with a bird's-eye view of the canopy. The gentle sway of the structure in the breeze is meditative rather than alarming.

Bird-watchers particularly love the Tree House Cottages — over 200 bird species have been recorded from these platforms, and the resort provides a laminated identification guide and high-quality binoculars. Evenings from the deck, watching the forest settle into darkness with fireflies beginning their light show below, are simply unforgettable.
